Forgiveness Displaced (Genesis 50:15-26)

Stephen Weaver, June 30, 2013
Part of the Genesis series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday, will be studying our last passage in our series in the book of Genesis. We will be looking at chapter 50 verses 15-26. In this text there are some great lessons to learn about forgiveness. Because after their father Jacob dies; Joseph brothers aren’t sure of his forgiveness of them. Why not? Why after 17 years are they doubting and wondering if Joseph will seek revenge? They actually thought Joseph was holding off revenge for Jacob’s sake? Learning forgiveness and communicating forgiveness Biblically is so important. Are we forgiven? Are we sure we don’t need to ask someone for forgiveness? We will talk more about all this Sunday morning…
