Does It Pass the Test? (1 John 4:1-6)

This Sunday as we continue our study in the book of 1 John; we will be looking at chapter 4 verses 1-6. Here John warns believers not to believe everything they hear about God. There are many false prophets that teach heretical doctrine that can deceive many. Therefore, John says, test the spirits, the spirit of demons and Satan in particular, because they may be spreading that which is of antichrist. He gives some of those tests that are in our text to help believers decipher what is truth and what is not. We will talk about these tests Sunday morning…
