Protecting the Truth (2 John 1:1-13)
Stephen Weaver, September 18, 2016Part of the Sunday Morning Service series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
This Sunday morning we will be looking at the book (letter) of 2 John. This little short letter, the smallest in the NT. Here John’s emphasis is the truth and the preservation of truth in the church and among bible believing Christians. He writes to the elect lady and others to explain (remind them) that in order to preserve and live the truth they must shun false teachers. They were not to entertain or be hospitable to those that were clearly false teachers so as not to encourage or give any credence to their teachings. It is important that we are careful to separate from false teachers and their teaching. More on this Sunday morning.
