Christ's Warnings About Hell (Matthew 13:47-52)

This Sunday, we continue a brief mini-series in the book of Matthew, studying the ministry of Jesus Christ. Our text will be chapter 13 verses 47-52. In this text Jesus gives another parable, this one about the dragnet. This parable gives warnings about judgment and hell as the dragnet of God’s wrath keeps closing in on the lost. People today don’t take seriously God’s coming judgment. Some preachers today shy away from WARNING about the coming judgment and hell and the only escape that is through Jesus Christ. The gospel is “good news” we say, meaning it SAVES from really bad news; that is from an eternity in hell. More on this Sunday morning…
