John, the Baptizer, the Voice (John 1:19-34)

This Sunday morning, we continue our new series in the gospel of John. We will be looking at chapter 1 verses 19-34. In these verses we have a testimony of the voice of John the Baptizer, a faithful man who simply does what God calls him to do. I thought the best way to explain John, as he explains himself and his work, would be by letting him tell about himself in the 1st person. So, John the Baptizer will come and explain (through narrative message) why he came, why he baptized, and how he explains the baptism of Jesus (different than the synoptics). I believe there is much we can learn through the testimony of John. More on this Sunday morning…
