Witnesses to Christ (John 5:30-47)

This Sunday morning, we continue our series in the gospel of John. We will be looking at chapter 5 verses 30-47. In this passage Jesus continues to explain His deity and His being equal with the Father. He is God, he is equal with the Father; and He will do anything He wants on the Sabbath (vs. 17-24). He then says, as He has spoken on His own behalf; “don’t just take my word for it; listen to the many witnesses of me.” There are 6 witnesses in this passage that speak to the truth of Jesus, and that prove that He has come from God!
