Responding to the Bread of Life (John 6:60-71)

This Sunday morning, we continue our series in the gospel of John. We will be looking at chapter 6 verses 60-71. In this passage comes the final response of the people who are “following” Jesus. What will they do with all this revelation about Jesus the Messiah? Sadly, they say it is too hard to hear and accept. Jesus asks them if they are offended, then tells them that it is the spiritual (life) that is important. The physical will get them nothing. But they don’t want to hear anymore; they won’t believe, and as a result walk away. What do you do when you hear God’s Word? Are you like the crowds, or like the 11 disciples?
