Prayer for the Spiritually Weak (James 5:13-15)

Stephen Weaver, August 19, 2012
Part of the James series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday our message will be from James 5:13-15. Here James is giving a challenge and encouragement to spiritually weak, struggling Christians; who have been enduring persecution. This has been a theme throughout his letter. It’s not surprising that he now encourages these beleaguered believers to pray for spiritual encouragement at the end of his letter. We sometimes need to “call” for help when we are struggling in our spiritual walk. Call and pray for help to be “raised up” and to be forgiven of sin. More on this passage Sunday morning as we look at the topic of prayer in restoration.
