A Miracle of God's Grace (Genesis 38:1-10)

This Sunday as we continue our series in Genesis we now come to chapter 38. The narrative seems unusual as it becomes hard to determine how this story fits in the middle of Joseph’s story. It is probably simply a contrast to the choices/direction Joseph took as opposed to the choices his brother Judah made. It is troubling to see the sinful selfish choices made, and yet see God’s will being done as the events unfold. There are some significant, important things we can learn from Judah, his wife and sons and the wife of his sons, Tamar. What are those things, and how can we keep from failing in these areas?
