Count It All Loss (Philippians 3:4-9)

Stephen Weaver, December 1, 2013
Part of the Philippians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday we continue our series in the book of Philippians; looking at chapter 3:4-9. Here we see Paul defending what he had just said about the Judaizers trying to keep the law as necessary for salvation. After clearly pointing out that they are wrong; he then explains his perspective and how that even the best human works will not get someone to heaven. If anyone could get to heaven by works he could. He had more than enough “works.” But he had to lose it all to gain Christ. What lessons are here for us? There are several, we will talk about them Sunday morning…
