This Sunday we will look at the first of 10 imperatives (commands) in John’s 1st letter. In chapter 2, verse 15a we see that John now says to his readers (after encouraging them in their assurance of salvation) that you need to watch your relationship with the world. He tells them to stop loving the world. What does loving the world mean? What is the “world” exactly? How do we balance not loving or being attached to a “world” we have to live in every day? These are the questions we will attempt to understand on Sunday morning…
