Boast in the Cross (Galatians 6:12-16)

Stephen Weaver, August 7, 2016
Part of the Sunday Morning Service series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday morning we are going to do communion in our worship service. We will do a message in conjunction with communion by looking at a text that focuses on the cross. Galatians 6:12-16 talks about what we should glory, boast in – Paul says that he will (and so should we) only glory in the cross. Why should we boast in the cross? Should we be boasting in anything? In this message we will talk about why we should boast in the cross. Boast in a symbol of execution, pain, and shameful death? What exactly is Paul talking about in these closing words in his letter to the Galatians? We will answer these questions and more Sunday morning. . .
