Part of the Sunday Morning Service series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday, Easter, we will do a special message from Matthew 16:21-23. Many times, when humans do wrong, they do it unaware that they are sinning and ill affecting themselves and others. In our text, Peter thinks he doing right, but he is indeed doing something very contrary to the purposes and plans of God. That is, His plan to redeem mankind. Peter, after a big glory moment of honoring the Lord in verses 16-19, now finds himself going against the purposes of God! Christians need to understand that we can be in the same situation if were not careful. And those who are lost need to understand the significance of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection for them; and not miss that God sent His Son for them! More on this text Sunday morning…
