Run Well and Finish Well (Galatians 5:7-12)

Stephen Weaver, September 3, 2017
Part of the Galatians series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday we continue our series in Galatians, looking at chapter 5 verses 7-15. In this passage, Paul uses the metaphor of running to describe how the believers of the churches of Galatia have been living their Christian lives. He says you’ve been running well; now continue to run, and don’t let these false teachers hinder you! He then talks about the problem of the false teachers influence on them, and for them to resist their heresy.

Christians today need to run their race and make sure they finish well. Just because they start well doesn’t mean they will end well. How can we be sure we’re running well in the Christian life? That’s the question we will answer this Sunday morning…
