Joseph’s Story (Matthew 1:1-2:23, Luke 2:1-52)

This Sunday morning (Christmas day) we will look at the various texts (Matthew 1&2; Luke 2) that contain the birth of the Messiah. What if we were to hear the story of Christ birth from someone who was “actually” there? Would not Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus have an interesting perspective? He would probably also have some facts about the story that would be somewhat different than the traditions we often associate with the Christmas story. What would these be?
