The Plague of Locusts (Exodus 10:1-20)

Stephen Weaver, August 12, 2018
Part of the Exodus series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

On Sunday evening we continue our series in the book of Exodus, looking at chapter 10:1-22. Here we have the continuing story and drama of God humiliating Pharaoh and the Egyptians. This the 8th plague, one of swarming, destructive locusts. Here God gives yet another reason for the plagues, to tell their children and grandchildren. Pharaoh also learns there is no deals, no bartering with God. And shortly after the plague begins Pharaoh is calling Moses and Aaron back in asking for relief, but again, no true repentance. There is no bartering with God today; everyone that comes to God comes on His terms. More on all this Sunday evening…
