The Tragedy of Unbelief (Exodus 11:1-12:23)

Stephen Weaver, September 2, 2018
Part of the Exodus series, preached at a Sunday Evening service

On Sunday evening we continue our series in the book of Exodus, looking at chapter 11 and chapter 12:1-13. Here is the last plague, and the Passover protection of Israel. In the Passover God gives Israel a continual, yearly, picture God’s provision of a substitute so that death does not come on the house. In this 1st Passover the substitute is a male lamb. In the gospel our substitute is God in the flesh, Jesus dying for our sins, and taking our punishment on the cross. The biggest tragedy: is those who reject this wonderful glorious grace. More on all this Sunday evening…
