A Word to Skeptics (John 3:9-15)

Stephen Weaver, March 31, 2019
Part of the John series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday morning, we continue our series in the gospel of John. We will be looking at chapter 3 verses 9-15. In this passage we see more of Nicodemus; seeing him as a skeptic, a somewhat dishonest skeptic. After Jesus said, “ye must be born again;” Nicodemus asks, “how can these things be? How can someone be born again?” Jesus explains to the skeptic (Nicodemus) and addresses an (overall) skeptics’ problem: you’re not hearing, listening, seeing the clear evidence! If they did, they would see the lifted up cross and believe. More on this Sunday morning…
