How Does 'Born Again' Happen? (John 3:16-21)

Stephen Weaver, April 7, 2019
Part of the John series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This Sunday morning, we continue our series in the gospel of John. We will be looking at chapter 3 verses 16-21. In this passage Jesus answers the question, “How does “born again” happen?” As we think on the picture of the lifted-up snake, we looked at last week; we think of all the lost, bit by the serpent of sin! What will save them? Or should I say, who will save them? The next verses give us the answer. Verse 16, the gospel in miniature, as Martin Luther called it; talk about the love of God, light and darkness, and how to be born again: BELIEVE, ah yes, where we left off last week. More on this Sunday morning…
