Delayed Hope in Parents/Children (1 Thessalonians 2:7-13)

This Sunday morning, father’s day, we will be looking 1 Thessalonians 2:7-13. In this passage the apostle Paul talks about how he dealt with the people in the church of Thessalonica; as a loving father to his children. What happens when fathers and mothers and children do not live up to the expectations of the people that are closest to them? There is a hope (expectation) that fails to be fulfilled. That’s what Proverbs 13:12 talks about “Hope deferred makes the heart sick…” What should our expectations be? How do we deal with these delayed expectations? More on this Sunday morning…
