Faith & Works (Part 2) (James 2:14-26)

Stephen Weaver, March 4, 2012
Part of the James series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

We will be talking about faith and works as we continue our verse by verse study in the epistle of James. Our text will be chapter 2 verses 14-26. The Bible clearly teaches that salvation is through faith alone and not of works, which the Apostle Paul makes clear in Romans 4, and Ephesians 2. But that is the beginning of the Christian life. James, here in this passage, argues faith with works, but the difference is that he was talking about living faith, after salvation. Is a person truly saved if they say they have faith, but no evidence of that faith? James uses arguments and illustrations to make a strong point about living faith. Do you have living faith that works?
