Here James speaks about the problem riches, and of hoarding and ill-gotten wealth. James uses a strong and terrifying description of how the rich person should see the coming judgment of God. His words would also be an encouragement to the exploited poor and everyday worker. Many times, James points out, so many forget that wealth is not an advantage, but a spiritual handicap!
